These paintings were inspired by the traditional story Hansel and Gretel.

We studied Leon the the Place Between by Graham Baker-Smith and Angela McAllister. We explored the themes of wonder and magic and wrote posters, poems, diary entries and recounts inspired by the story. See our shared notes.

In the Autumn term we used acrylics and cut outs to create these shape based paintings. It was interesting to overlay organic shapes over geometric ones.
